About the role

Location: Aurora, CO
Employment Type: Full-Time

Running a distribution center is a bit like orchestrating a living, breathing ecosystem where people, product, process, and purpose all move in harmony. At Fenix Outdoor, we’re looking for a strategic, hands-on General Manager who can lead that ecosystem with clarity, courage, and a deeply collaborative spirit.

You’ll own end-to-end operations for our Distribution Center, guiding a talented team, refining workflows, and shaping the systems that ensure our gear reaches people who love and protect the outdoors. This is a role for someone who sees the big picture and the tiny details, who relishes both data and people leadership, and who thrives in an environment where curiosity, continuous improvement, and action are prized.

Step into a mission-driven organization with decades of heritage and help us strengthen the operational backbone that keeps our brands moving forward!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities across the Distribution Center
  • Lead Area Managers and staff while building a strong, engaged team culture
  • Resolve employee and customer concerns with clarity and professionalism
  • Ensure warehouse operations align with broader supply chain and logistics goals

Strategic and Financial Management

  • Manage to budget, revenue, and performance targets
  • Drive cost optimization through lean principles and process improvements
  • Own the site-level P&L and ensure financial stewardship

Inventory and Capacity Planning

  • Support forecasting and replenishment strategies across functions
  • Contribute to SOP processes, capacity planning, and inventory placement
  • Improve stock visibility, accuracy, and flow through technology and metrics

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

  • Champion safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Lead and support automation, layout redesigns, and system upgrades
  • Prepare and analyze operational performance reports to inform decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to meet goals around delivery, cost, and quality
  • Participate in network optimization projects, including routing efficiency and layout design
  • Negotiate and maintain optimized agreements with outbound carriers

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial leadership role
  • Comprehensive background across Fulfillment, Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing
  • A true operational GM mindset: entrepreneurial, curious, and always asking “what if?”
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in data, KPIs, and operational metrics
  • Experience building high-performing, collaborative teams
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and develop clear strategies and contingency plans
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with WMS, ERP, TMS, and similar systems

Preferred (but not required):

  • Four-year degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience implementing automation or large-scale process redesign
  • Background in multi-site operations or network planning
