Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer II at our Mentor, Ohio, location. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or emerging professionals ready to transition from academic learning to impactful, real-world engineering.
- Provide technical planning and design support on various utility projects that may include storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution, and various other civil engineering projects
- Prepare engineering calculations to support design
- Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
- Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D Civil 3D
- Prepare plans and specifications for public bid
- Prepare/assist with permit submittals
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Document design changes and communications
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- 2-4 years of experience in civil-site and municipal engineering
- Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software is a plus
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
- EIT Preferred
- Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus
Salary Range:
The compensation range starts at $70,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
