CAGE CASHIER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide extraordinary guest service including, but not limited to, the accurate performance of monetary transactions with internal and external guests.

Responsible for accurately counting and recording assigned funds and making exchanges of funds throughout the shift.  

Keep cash drawer balanced and impressed and make exchanges with the vault.

Verify and document personal identification information for check and cash advance transactions.

Complete CTRs, W2Gs, and MTLs.

Other duties as assigned.

WORK AREA

Counter space in a casino environment exposed to bright lights, noise, changing temperatures, and smoke. May include a boat and/or floating barge.  Hotel and high rise atrium.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing                    75%

Bending/Lifting         20% (up to 60 lbs.)

Carrying                       5%

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Six months cashier or banking experience preferred. Valid gaming license issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission. 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Must be able to use a computer, 10 key calculator, read and understand simple instructions and speak clearly. Must be able to complete simple forms and have basic mathematical knowledge. 

GUEST RELATIONS

Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.  Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities and facilities available to guest.
