Commercial Banking Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Banking Team Leader to join our team. This role is designed for an individual eager to lead and mentor a team of commercial bankers while acting as a player coach in driving the growth and development of our commercial banking portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with executive management, underwriters, credit officers, and other team members to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of commercial bankers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the commercial banking portfolio.
• Build and nurture client relationships, including depository relationships.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and networking events to build and strengthen relationships.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Conduct market research and analysis to support business development efforts and identify potential opportunities.
• Assist in preparing loan proposals, credit analysis, and risk assessments for new and existing clients.
• Monitor and track loan performance, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, underwriting, and operations, to ensure seamless client experiences.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting commercial banking.
• Gain experience in syndication and participation loans, contributing to the structuring and distribution of syndicated finance deals.

Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial banking, with a strong track record in managing and growing a commercial banking portfolio.
• Deep understanding of credit risk analysis and underwriting principles.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and loan underwriting systems.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products, services, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
