Are you ready to take on a high-impact role supporting a premier satellite ground system? We are seeking a temporary Business Analyst with strong expertise in Power Query, Power BI, and data transformation to support business decision-making through insightful reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will excel in gathering requirements, translating business needs into scalable BI solutions, and delivering high-quality dashboards that drive strategic outcomes.
What You Will Do
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for reporting and analytical solutions. Also, develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that provide meaningful insights and support business initiatives.
Use Power Query to clean, merge, and transform complex datasets from multiple sources into structured and optimized data models.
Implement DAX calculations and measures to support advanced analytics and KPI development.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reporting solutions and collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to validate data sources, improve data pipelines, and ensure long-term scalability. Perform ad-hoc data analysis and provide recommendations based on analytical findings.
Conduct user training, create documentation, and support end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices and continuously identify opportunities to improve existing reports, automate manual processes, and enhance analytical efficiency.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data preparation and transformation.
Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills and experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Experience interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and translating insights into business recommendations. You will also communicate with and have stakeholder-management skills.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security TS/SCI clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience building Power BI dashboards, data models, and DAX measures.
Experience with large datasets and enterprise BI environments.
