Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Part-Time) – Cole County, Jefferson City, MO

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Cole County, Missouri. In this role, you’ll assess, treat, and support inmates experiencing mental health issues while helping coordinate a continuum of care post-release.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mental health assessments and suicide risk evaluations

• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and release plans

• Provide MAT and substance abuse counseling

• Collaborate with medical and facility staff to ensure continuity of care

• Coordinate with community agencies for discharge planning

• Provide mental health training to facility staff as needed

• Participate in on-call rotation (as needed)

• Maintain safety and security during clinical interventions

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related field

• Current license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent in Missouri

• Correctional or crisis mental health experience preferred, but not required
