As a Material Program Manager (MPM) you’re a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you’re able to lead and influence cross-functional teams without having any direct reports.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

1. Develop and execute material program plans, subcontract management plans (as applicable)

2. Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities & proactively manage mitigation plans

3. Completing quarterly financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the EAC (Estimate at Complete) process

4. Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs

5. Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

6. Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed

7. Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues

8. Support all gate review and activity, EAC review, program review and risk and opportunity management reviews

9. Oversight of subcontractor execution performance

Qualifications You Must Have:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar is required

•Typically Requires 8 years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations experience, Engineering, Quality, Program or Project Management experience.

•Must obtain MPM certification level 4 within 1 year of hire.

•The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

•Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar

•Active Secret Clearance

•Certified Material Program Manager to Level 3

•A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)

•Ability to lead efforts, including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.

•Experience in a Matrix organizational structure.

•Experience with Project Management.

•Experience with MRP Systems and or tools such as PRISM and KINAXIS.

•High degree of financial acumen, understand the mechanics of strong supplier negotiations and how to influence an acceptance in execution of cost reduction opportunities.
