About You

The Auto Claims Adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves auto and general liability claims made against members of the TASB Risk Management Fund. The Auto Claims Adjuster is responsible for an assigned inventory of claims from routine to moderately complex. The assigned inventory consists primarily of first- and third-party property damage claims. 

A Typical Day 

• Provide high quality customer service to members and claimants through prompt and thorough communication throughout the claims process 
• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and resolve first- and third-property property damage claims from initial contact through final resolution, including liability investigations, property damage evaluations, and total loss resolution. 
• Collaborate with peers and claim leadership on fair, effective, and prompt claim resolution

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Support the Risk Management Fund’s mission by consistently delivering the highest quality of service to members in all aspects of daily job performance. 
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve auto property damage and liability claims of low to moderate complexity. 
• Ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with Best Practices Guidelines and in accordance with established reserve, payment, and settlement authorities.   

Skills for Success

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• Texas Adjuster’s License applicable to primary area of responsibility required. 
• Minimum of one year experience in an insurance risk management related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Strong oral and written communication skills. 
• Commitment to customer-centric approach.
• At least one year of experience handling an assigned inventory of third-party liability claims is preferred.
