You Are:
The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining expertise in the data architecture of systems and capabilities managed by Accenture through its contracts with Federal Student Aid, to support business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. This role ensures data is structured, integrated, and governed effectively across the enterprise. The Enterprise Data Architect collaborates with business, technology, and operations leaders across Accenture’s ED account to align data strategies with enterprise and strategic goals.
The Work:
- Data Strategy & Architecture Design:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
- Maintain principles, guidelines, and standards for data management, integration, and governance.
- Design data models, data flows, and reference architectures to optimize data accessibility, consistency, and security.
- Data Governance & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations.
- Implement best practices for metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage tracking.
- Data Integration & Management:
- Collaborate with functional and technical leaders to:
- Architect scalable, secure, resilient, high performance data platforms.
- Design and implement data integration frameworks, including ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and streaming data solutions.
- Ensure interoperability between various data sources, systems, and business applications.
- Use or evolve existing solutions where possible.
- Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Enablement:
- Support the implementation of advanced analytics, including the use of AI.
- Optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with FSA’s Office of the Chief Data Officer to provision and support self-service capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with business, technology, and operations leaders to understand data needs and challenges.
- Provide leadership in data-related topics in multi-disciplinary project teams.
Here's What You Need:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise IT roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), relational databases, and NoSQL solutions.
- Knowledge of the capabilities of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Apache Kafka, etc.) and API development.
- Knowledge of modern data warehousing and data lake architectures.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance maybe required for this role

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
