Join us in the FX Business Analyst Program

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for our FX Business Analyst Program. This is an exciting opportunity to join an entry level program which will provide the education and skills for a thriving career in Foreign Exchange. In this 2-year rotational program the analyst will gain exposure across the FX business in a variety of roles, potentially ranging from Trading to Relationship Management and Product Strategy. The BA program is comprised of 4 six-month rotations across FX. At the end of the 2-year program, all in good standing will be placed in a full-time role within the business, based on business need and Analyst interest and demonstrated skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in Markets, or Foreign Exchange that is looking to learn in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

BBH specializes in providing operational and strategic FX solutions to global asset managers. Our offering includes automated FX trading solutions for security and corporate action related FX, currency hedging, and active execution. Our goal is to provide every client with an effective, transparent, and comprehensive FX program which is supported by dedicated relationship management and product teams.

Examples of potential rotations, and areas of responsibility you may take on with each:

  • Product Development – Support development of requirements, testing and implementation of new features and functionality across our product suite.

  • Sales Trading/Relationship Management - Work hand in hand with our Sales Trading desk around the engagement of real money client base. 

  • Data & Analytics - Proactively utilize and produce data visualizations, analytics and TCA to identify trends and opportunities for client discussions and enhancements.

  • E-Trading and Trading - Gain exposure to electronic market making and hedging, help to build pricing analytics, learn about the FX market and managing trading exposure. 

  • Onboarding- Facilitate new client onboards working closely with Legal, Risk and Compliance. 

  • Emerging Markets - Help our clients navigate the foreign exchange complexities involved in investing restricted markets.

  • Currency Administration - Partner with our currency administration team to support our clients share class and portfolio hedging needs. 

  • Business Development — Assist in the facilitation and identification of sales opportunities and onboarding efforts across all FX products.

Desired Skills:

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, recommend and implement solutions.

  • Experience working with and analyzing large data sets.

  • Preferred familiarity with Python / SQL.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while possessing an eye for detail.

  • Interest in international currency markets, including impact of economic and political factors.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.

  • Self-motivation, time management, and an ability to clearly interpret complex scenarios are critical in this role.
