Team Leader

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Assist, direct, instruct, and check on assigned group of departmental employees in all phases of their work.
• Manage the movement of personnel to ensure production goals are met in all areas and optimize productivity
• Track and approve personnel time in Kronos
• Ensure that all procedures are followed to meet company objectives which include safety, right-first-time and forecast and research, propose and implement improvements to these areas using CI tools.
• Lead and teach process audits, standard work events, PSRs, and other CI tools with assigned team members
• Drive safety engagement by motivating department personnel to write SAFE cards and report all incidents, entering incidents into Engage in a timely manner, leading diverse teams to identify the root cause, and driving countermeasures to completion.
• Drive the use of plant standard boards to maintain clean work areas and equipment
• Identify and refer disciplinary and other supervisory problems and matters to designated supervision
• Assist supervision with employee reviews and reprimands
• Maintain approved levels of supplies
• Work from batches, schedules, and instructions to plan and lay out work for assigned group
• Perform minor scheduling actions in MPT and EBS transactions

Qualifications

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• General high school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience
• Must be able to drive an overhead crane and IME
