About the role

Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator for a 6-12 month contract (potential for extension) with Purdue University.

  • Must be able to work onsite Mon-Fri from 9am-1pm (approximately 20 hours per week)
  • Pay rate of $18-23/hr depending upon experience

Responsibilities

Program Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Purdue's PITCH program is looking for a program coordinator that can support numerous aspects of planning, implementing, and documenting the program's 2-week summer program for high school students.

• The program held the first two weeks of June invites ~90 students to the Purdue and Ivy Tech campuses for two weeks of semiconductor and microelectronics activities.

• This role would include coordinating the various logistics associated with the program (e.g., stipend payments, program purchasing, field trip travel, room reservations, hiring undergraduate staff, lunch and snacks, and application processing).

• It also includes supporting and coordinating the recruitment/marketing of the program leading up to the program application deadline.

• During the two-week program, this role would coordinate the execution of the aforementioned tasks and support the program staff with just-in-time solutions for program issues.

• After the two-week program comes to a close, the role will support the PITCH staff in documenting the activities/curricula of the program for broader dissemination.

• This may include coordinating logistics related to curriculum packaging, interfacing with curriculum consultants, organizing and tracking materials and equipment, coordinating marketing efforts, etc.

• The role may include managing undergraduate staff who will support the program activities.

Qualifications

Program Coordinator Required Skills:

• Must have at least 3-5 years of experience • Candidates should have experience with event planning.• Candidates should have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.• Experience in an educational field is desired.• Past experience working with Purdue is a plus.
