The Role:

The Staff FinOps & Data Analyst will partner with product, engineering, and cloud operations leadership to build a world class cloud business and data management function. Coordinate all cross-functional cloud margin optimization initiatives across the business including cloud cost dashboarding, monthly expense trend reporting, and architectural and internal process improvement initiatives. In addition, you will lead data automation, collection, and hygiene, you have an eye for data visualization and can create branded, easy-to-digest presentations for different layers of audiences. You can analyze data at a granular level and translate powerful business insights from those trends. Additionally, you are committed to transforming data into easy-to-digest narratives that align with the CTO organization’s goals and strategy.  

What You’ll Do:

• Support and assist in the creation of dynamic, data-driven cloud cost visibility across Product Management, engineering, and Cloud Ops functions
• Assist in building, maintaining, and evolving executive-level cloud cost dashboards
• Identify, implement, and drive cross-functional processes to optimize cloud costs
• Work with Engineering and operations leaders to drive tool, vendor, and process standardization
• Work closely with business stakeholders and management to understand data and analytics needs, then develop, update, and maintain databases and data sets by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources 
• Build automated and manual methods for acquiring and maintaining databases and data sets, prepare charts, graphs, reports, and presentations to visualize data and trends 
• Design and maintain templates for data maintenance and data presentation and provide in-depth analysis of trends and business insights
• Lead the creation and education of stakeholders on processes and procedures for ensuring proper data hygiene and accuracy 

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, Business Administration, or related field (or relevant work experience)
• Experience on Cloud Financial Management
• FinOps Foundation
• Cloud Optimization Experience
• Experience with database & model design, and segmentation techniques.
• Strong development experience with analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with finance and engineering teams at varying levels of the organization, including senior management.
• Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment  

Nice To Have:

• 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Software, SaaS, Cloud products/services within B2B space
• Azure Fundamentals or AWS Practitioner
• FinOps Certified Practitioner
• In depth experience with Cloud Financial Management
• In depth Cloud optimization expertise
• Advanced experience with database & model design, and segmentation techniques
• Advanced development experience with analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
• Demonstrable advanced analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
• Must be a strong self-starter ready to join a world class team looking to do big things
