Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Overview & Responsibilities

To document and perform basic shipping and receiving of equipment and to maintain shop compliance using proper processes. Must be able to complete all work in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.

• Ability to follow verbal commands and leadership direction.

• Average understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function of the job.

• Ability to learn the processes for day to day assigned tasks.

• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.

• Basic knowledge and capacity to learn how to use various tooling: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gages, saws, nail guns, other required tools necessary to perform the job.

• Ability to learn to accurately measure and record all required documentation.

• Ability to learn and process documentation associated with turbo machinery such as inspection reports, photo logs, hold tags, safety and audit documentation.

• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

• Accepts ownership over work performance and works to improve skillset.  

• Ability to maintain general shop tidiness    

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• 1-3 years’ experience with rotating turbomachinery preferred

• 1-3 years' experience with shipping and receiving responsibilities

• Experience with rigging and measuring

• Holds a valid TWIC card

• Holds a valid DL

The expected compensation range for this position is $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, vacation, sick leave, etc.
