Job Description:

Receives and issues maintenance parts and supplies to FS and other University department personnel, and ensures that inventory maintenance is performed to reflect stock reduction.

Assembles, reviews, places orders, and forwards issue tickets and/or receiving documentation per established procedures to allow for FS Accounting Department to verify material charges and bill or pay vendor invoices accordingly.

Performs inspection and verification of deliveries made to FS Central Stores warehouse location, including prompt recording of permanent stock identification information, description, quantity, cost, etc. to ensure proper inventory accuracy in the physical inventory and online software.

Periodically participates in physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of records versus actual physical counts, and assists in resolving discrepancies.

Organizes and maintains orderly appearance of warehouse shelves, bins, and stock keeping locations

Operates a motor vehicle to provide delivery service of requested materials to other FS departments or pick-up materials from various vendors.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Daily from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm - occasional overtime as required by management

Drives a state vehicle that requires a valid driver license.

A criminal background and post offer health assessment will be conducted.

 

Expected Salary:

$18.50 based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic arithmetic, filing, accountability, and record keeping procedures.

Knowledge of common hardware, building materials, and janitorial use items.

Ability to learn other specific use inventory items such as HVAC, electrical, and telecommunication equipment.

Ability to use a desktop computer, mobile devices, and FS's inventory software.

Ability to issue, sort, verify and store supplies and equipment.

Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to make routine decisions in Supervisor’s absence.
