Position Summary

The Clinical Education Specialist (CES) is an essential member of the nursing department and contributes to clinical education operations. This position in collaboration with the Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) will manage internal operations and project management for clinical education and be responsible for consistent communication with clinical instructors and sites, students, and faculty.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelors degree

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in higher education or healthcare professions education preferred. Preference for individuals with project management experience.

Job Duties

• In collaboration with the clinical education coordinator the CES will: 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical education related documentation in appropriate electronic databases and files. 
  • Oversee clinical rotation compliance and onboarding processes 
  • Provide clinical site and preceptor requests and student scheduling 
  • Communicate clinical requirements to students 
  • Communicate with clinical instructors and partners, students, and faculty in a professional and efficient manner 
  • Optimize workflows and efficiencies 
• Maintain and manage clinical software licenses and audit clinical compliance 
• Monitor, maintain, and order lab supplies
