Position Description
Coordinates the movement of purchased and manufactured materials to ensure parts are at designated locations.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and prioritizes work activities of assigned material handlers to ensure correct materials are delivered to assigned locations.
- Coordinates flow of materials with a specific manufacturing area and off site locations.
- Maintains accurate inventory records; corrects variances from scheduled cycle counts. Maintains neat and organized storage areas ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Ensures established safe operating procedures are routinely practiced by all material handlers.
- Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
High School diplomaGeneral Education DegreeExperience Requirements
- 2 years experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory control environment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.Generally good working conditions.Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
