PURPOSE
The Assistant Director of Table Games provides comprehensive direction and coordination for the Table Games department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of all games, adherence to established policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Assistant Director of Table Games is also dedicated to enhancing guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, and continuously improving the quality of the gaming environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Leadership: Assist in managing the Table Games department to achieve financial and operational goals. Ensure the smooth operation of all table games, maintaining high standards of game integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development: Provide direction, support, and training to all Table Games team members, while overseeing scheduling, job design, and talent acquisition and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
- Financial Acumen: Develop and analyze data to support budgets, gaming trend analysis and customer recognition programs.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and implement internal controls to meet or exceed Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those outlined by the compact.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal service and value.
- Operational Coverage: Provide coverage for Supervisors as needed, ensuring consistent management presence and oversight.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic planning for the Table Games department, contributing to long-term goals and initiatives.
- Guest Engagement: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained, creating a Forbes or AAA rated service environment that enhances guest satisfaction and engagement. Proactively address guest issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable gaming atmosphere.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. An additional two (2) years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Seven years of experience in Tables Games within an equivalent-sized property.
- Five (5) years of experience leading others in a supervisory or manager role.
- Over two (2) years of Table Games scheduling experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership: Excellent leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate team members.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve operational issues.
- Game Knowledge and Operational Procedures: Proven knowledge of “Basic Strategy” for
house rules and operational procedures. Proficient in a variety of table games. - Surveillance Techniques and Gaming Controls: Proven knowledge of surveillance techniques and specific gaming controls.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of Title 31 compliance “Bank Secrecy Act.”
- Vendor and Contract Management: Experience in negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Customer Service: Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues promptly.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in relevant technology and software used in table games operations and management.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- Three (3) plus years negotiating Table Games vendor contracts.
