Pharmacy Tech Supervisor

Within the framework of the hospital and the Pharmacy Department's policies and procedures, the primary purpose of this position is to work in a supervisory capacity. The primary objective is to supervise and direct the overall activities of the support personnel under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the training program for all existing and new technicians as well as verifying competency of technicians within the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians will report to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor.

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• West Virginia Board Technician Registration required
• National Technician Certification required
• 1 to 2 years of Position-Related Experience required, 2 to 5 years of Position-Related Experience preferred
• The kind of Position-Related Experience includes prior hospital pharmacy experience. Preference will be given to anyone who has served as a technician supervisor and anyone who has experience with education of technicians.
