We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Sales Account Manager with a strong track record of success managing complex sales cycles and building lasting customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about both individual contribution and team development.
You will be responsible for managing all stages of the sales process—from prospecting to close—with a focus on large corporate, educational, and governmental accounts. The right candidate will be assertive, data-driven, collaborative, and customer-focused, with strong fluency in CRM and ERP tools like HubSpot and NetSuite.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant sales and customer service experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software and fluency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and presentation software
- Demonstrated success managing all stages of the sales cycle—from prospecting through close, with a special emphasis on maintaining large, institutional or educational accounts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in engaging and presenting to large corporate, educational, and governmental customers
- Assertiveness, proactiveness and persistence to effectively close deals and meet targets.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Netsuite and Hubspot CRM
- Advanced degree (MBA, M.S.) or specialized training in data analytics
- Prior sales experience in a growth-oriented e-commerce or furniture company
- Experience establishing relationships and closing sales with corporate, educational, and governmental institutions
- Strong understanding of ergonomics or workplace wellness products a plus
What You’ll Do
- Actively prospect and generate new sales opportunities with large corporate, educational, and governmental customers according to assigned sales channel
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial customer engagement and qualification through proposal and close
- Leverage tools such as Netsuite, Hubspot and others to effectively manage sales pipelines and report performance metrics
- Continuously refine sales strategies and techniques to maximize sales close rates and booked sales
- Build and Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders including Product Development, Supply and Customer Service teams
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions internally and externally, fostering strong working partnerships across the organization and long-term customer relationships
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales quotas and objectives
- Stay abreast of current developments in the marketplace, seeking and seizing opportunities for new relationships
- Complete assigned business development research and projects
- Provide regular sales reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to sales leadership
- Other duties as assigned, to include customer service support via chat, phone and email and mentoring junior team members
