Medical Physicist II Cancer Center

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Physicist II

• Location: Elmhurst Cancer Center 177 E. Brush Hill Road Elmhurst, IL

• Full Time Will work 40 hours a week. Will work 1 day remote

• Hours: Monday-Friday (no weekends or holidays)

Required Education, Skills and/or  Experience:

• Master’s Degree in medical physics, radiologic physics, physics, or other relevant physical science or engineering discipline

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a medical physicist

• Quality assurance experience with Varian linear accelerators

• Previous experience with High-dose-rate (HDR), radiosurgery quality assurance (QA) and treatment planning

License/Certification Required:

• Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure

• Possess or are eligible for American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in radiation oncology, therapeutic radiology or equivalent certification. Must obtain board certification within five years of employment if not currently certified.
