Temporary Seasonal Sample Shack Attendant

Closing Date: June 17, 2024Responsible for pre-moisture, moisture sampling during concentrate load out operations, communication with the whole operation of moisture content and tonnes loaded, and prepares composite samples for each barge, and other duties as assigned2024 Shipping Season; Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-siteReporting to the Port Operations SupervisorResponsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Pre-moisture, moisture sampling during concentrate load out operations
• Communication with the whole operation of moisture content and tonnes loaded
• Prepares composite samples for each barge
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A team player and able to communicate well with others
• Highly motivated and have ability to perform tasks with limited direction
• The ability to adhere to high safety standards
• Able to work day, afternoon, or night shifts as required
• Able to work outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions
• Able to perform labor intensive work when required; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the trade
• Current driver’s license is preferred
