Job Description

Executive Director

Griffin Memorial Hospital – Norman, Oklahoma


Embark on an exciting journey as the Executive Director of Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Norman, OK. In this dynamic role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive management, administrative, and clinical policies and procedures for a 120-bed, accredited acute care psychiatric hospital. GMH specializes in serving individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance abuse stabilization prior to transitioning into community care.


This position will spearhead the oversight of our new 200,000 square foot, 275-bed hospital, slated for completion by the end of 2028. This state-of-the-art facility, The Donahue, will offer an array of innovative services that Oklahomans rely on during their most vulnerable moments. The new hospital will also include an Urgent Recovery Center (URC).

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Services Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Five years of administrative experience in mental health services, including program oversight and development, or administrative experience within a mental health facility
  • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preference may be given to candidates holding licensure in a qualified behavioral health field

  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position.
