HybridRaytheon is seeking a temporary Industrial Engineer to apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to design, develop, and optimize production processes to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Process Mapping, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, and Project Management.
Responsibilities will focus primarily on discrete tasks supporting critical projects having a significant impact on the business, helping with initiatives to advance the industrial engineering organization, and coaching/mentoring industrial engineers to grow key competencies.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze key manufacturing performance indicators to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Support planning and prioritization of strategic investments coordinated by the industrial engineering organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis.
Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design /optimization.
Experience/Education with project management.
Experience/Education with CAD software.
Six Sigma certifications
