We are looking for a Flight Test Quality Inspector to join our team. The goal of a Flight Test Quality Inspector at Wisk is to ensure that aircraft products and services comply with safety, engineering and regulatory standards. You will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that delivers Quality support execution through flight test, ground test, maintenance and certification activities.

Why we need you:
- With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Flight Test Quality Inspector to join our Enterprise Quality team. The goal of the Flight Test Quality Inspector at Wisk is to ensure safety and first pass quality integration to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the Enterprise Quality team
- that supports Wisk’s next generation aircraft development. Your goal is to make sure that aircraft flight test, ground test and maintenance is performed safely in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Your mission is to deliver professional Quality support services through aircraft development and certification.
- The successful candidate will have demonstrated previous experience working in the aerospace industry supporting aircraft or rotorcraft type certification, maintenance or production programs. Direct hands-on experience in testing roles with the technical breadth necessary to interface with all functions such as Systems & Safety Flight Test, Manufacturing, Systems Test, and Certification teams. In this role, the candidate must be proactive, forward thinking and have the ability to be flexible adapting to change in a start up environment. The candidate must also be confident with interfacing with external customers, regulatory partners and suppliers as needed to support the organization. This role typically requires working on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside their own area of expertise.
What you will do:
- As part of the Enterprise Quality organization, and deployed in an Flight Test Operations & Maintenance organization you will act as a Flight Test Quality Inspector for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- You will take part in supporting aircraft development and certification activities improving first pass quality and compliance.
- You will support cross-functional teams representing Quality as the primary lead inspector supporting aircraft release, configuration management, safety inspections, and internal delivery acceptance.
- You will help support problem solving activities troubleshooting, inspecting, testing, repairing, servicing to prepare aircraft for flight. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools.
- You will help determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
- You will take part collaborating with several teams across the enterprise supporting the next generation of autonomous aircraft development.
- As a Flight Test Quality Inspector, you will help define the future of Urban Air Mobility for Wisk.
What you have done:
- A minimum of 8 years experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years and a Master’s degree or a PHD with 3 years of experience in aerospace production, testing or maintenance fields.
- You have worked on various aircraft or rotorcraft programs in commercial, airline or military regulated environments
- You have hands-on experience working with live aircraft performing systems test, inspection and routine maintenance plan inspections
- You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex aircraft systems, avionics, propulsion, electrical, structures supporting as an aviation maintenance technician and/or flight readiness inspection roles
- You have a strong and applied understanding applicable systems, regulatory requirements, and certification procedures. Applies mathematical skills to interpret drawings, specifications, measurements for inspection determinations. Competent and knowledgeable of inspection methods, equipment and tools
