Position Summary:
The Shipping & Distribution team at Zenni is known for its reliability and speed of operations, which are critical for our global brand! Our team values include dedication, as we are always committed to taking care of shipping operations even through challenging times. We also value efficiency, to ensure we get our product delivered to customers as quickly and affordably as possible.
We are currently looking for those looking to learn and grow in the optical field and to join our team at our site in Obetz, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be an integral part in leading our associates, and fostering teamwork, while assisting in building a productive, motivated, and outstanding team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with Supervisor to ensure consistent and productive line flow.
- Assist in training employees.
- Communicate with Supervisor any challenges or obstacles.
- Ambassador for efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Partner and participant in striving for continuous improvement for increased productivity, and maintaining of high quality standards.
- Maintain and control inventory for area.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Ensure daily / monthly KPI’s are met.
- Health & Safety Awareness.
- Hold accountability.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge & skills required:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong computer skills
- Strong statistical skills, problem solving and data analysis
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and listen at all levels
- Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability
- Clear documentation skills
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping.distribution environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety best practices
- Very reliable, able to work on-site Monday – Friday as well occasional overtime and weekend hours
- Strong interpersonal, conflict management, time management and communication skills
- Technical ability and competent in software tools including Microsoft Office Suite and various optical management software
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
- Authorization to work in the United States required
- Previous optical manufacturing helpful.
- Experience in evaluating equipment, product and process development, and solving production problems
