Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Join our fast-paced RAPID team as a hands-on, detail-driven Mechanical NPI Engineer! You'll play a key role in powering our high-volume manufacturing (HVM) success—leading the charge in transforming cutting-edge mechanical designs into scalable, production-ready solutions. This role is critical in ensuring mechanical components and assemblies meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be passionate about continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and fast iteration.

  • Support sustaining activities for RAPID legacy systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to HVM operations

  • Manage and maintain multiple BOM configurations, including pre-release structuring, material readiness, and release to manufacturing

  • Drive end-of-life (EOL) component replacement strategies, ensuring proper configuration and integration into manufacturing BOMs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and design) to implement and validate mechanical changes

  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with suppliers and vendors to support sourcing, qualification, and issue resolution

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation through PLM systems, including ECOs and part releases

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in mechanical design, manufacturability, and cost optimization

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $114,100.00 - $194,000.00 Annually
