IT Team Leader - (Operation & Digital)

Our client is a prominent name in the sports retail sector, holding a 25% market share and generating €268M in gross merchandise value through both physical stores and online platforms.

In the role of IT Leader, you will be tasked with managing IT operations, providing support for the cash application across seven countries, leading a high-performing team, and spearheading our digital transformation efforts. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and execution of our client's IT strategy. This position demands a deep understanding of IT operations, a strategic mindset paired with robust leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a drive for innovation.

Responsibilities

• IT Operations Management: Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.  

• Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company’s data and systems

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team of 6 professionals 

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors

• Strategic IT Planning: Develop and manage the IT budget and roadmap, aligning IT initiatives with Decathlon Hungary's overall business objectives

• Digital Transformation: Lead the modernization of our digital infrastructure and processes, enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other Business Units, especially Retail, Operations, Security teams, to streamline efforts and ensure effective execution of national strategies

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in a leadership position within IT teams (at least 3-4 years)
• Proven experience in building and leading high-performance teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data privacy, software development, and digital transformation
• Strong capability to take initiative and implement solutions with a proactive and results-driven mindset
• Fluency in English is mandatory
