ManTech's Department of Justice Division is seeking a strategic leader for the Enterprise Data Analysis Section (EDAS) Services EDAS Portfolio. The role involves acquiring technical expertise to support IT networks, systems, and initiatives. The position is crucial for the success of FBI missions and requires specialized technical expertise in agile methodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The SAFe methodology will be used to align Agile teams and deliver capabilities, ensuring effective work prioritization and successful delivery. Experience with SAFe implementation is essential to modernize and enhance capabilities within the EDAS portfolio.

Position Title: Senior Software Engineer - Human Language Technology (HLT)

 Position Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer for the Human Language Technology (HLT) team is responsible for maintaining a collection of computer-based applications and techniques designed to assist linguists, analysts, and agents in organizing, searching, extracting, and translating foreign language data. This role requires expertise in Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, d3, AJAX, Visual Studio, RubyGems, Python, Red Hat Linux, and other related technologies. Proficiency in supporting users in bulk data processing with machine translation, speech-to-text, OCR tools, and working with AI/ML GPU technologies is also required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain and enhance the computer-based applications and techniques within the Human Language Technology (HLT) team.
• Develop software using Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, d3, AJAX, Visual Studio, RubyGems, Python, Red Hat Linux, and other relevant technologies.
• Support users in bulk data processing with machine translation, speech-to-text, and OCR tools, including data parsing and normalization.
• Install, configure, and optimize machine translation software such as Systran, Language Weaver, and MS Translator.
• Install, configure, and optimize OCR software such as Tesseract and AWS Textract.
• Work with AI/ML GPU technologies such as Nvidia for advanced language processing tasks.
• Administer servers with embedded GPUs running on the Red Hat Linux operating system.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
• Lead technical efforts for pre-proposal, proposal, and existing program activities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to lower-level software engineers.
• Participate in software requirement reviews, design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and software acceptance reviews.
• Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, coordinating activities across organizational lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven to nine years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, d3, AJAX, Visual Studio, RubyGems, Python, Red Hat Linux, and other relevant technologies.
• Proficiency in supporting users in bulk data processing with machine translation, speech-to-text, and OCR tools.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and optimizing machine translation software such as Systran, Language Weaver, and MS Translator.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and optimizing OCR software such as Tesseract and AWS Textract.
• Familiarity with AI/ML GPU technologies such as Nvidia for advanced language processing tasks.
• Extensive knowledge in administering servers with embedded GPUs running on the Red Hat Linux operating system.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and implement software solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in software engineering or related fields are highly desirable.
