As a Product Manager in the Mobile Platform team within Employee Platforms, you are an integral part of the team that identifies, creates, and leverages best practices around supporting our mobile developer community, driving the advancement and adoption of our tools and capabilities.
This role requires a deep understanding of the mobile technology landscape, mobile security, authentication patterns, and the software development lifecycle of mobile applications. As a leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products and features, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, stability, and security, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilities
- Develop a product strategy and vision that delivers value to customers.
- Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Own, maintain, and develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Builds the framework and track the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing to ensure successful product delivery.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on product status and performance.
- Leads the adoption of best practices in mobile development and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise as a Technical Product Manager or similar role working on mobile platforms/products.
- Advanced knowledge of the mobile product development life cycle, design, and data analytics.
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Experience with mobile development frameworks and languages such as Kotlin, Swift, and Objective-C.
- Knowledge of mobile security concerns and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Passion for creating tools and platforms that enhance developer productivity and satisfaction.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira/Jira Align.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in mobile development.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and design thinking.
