Responsibilities

SHIFT HOURS:  Monday – Friday Midnight-8:30 a.m. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: Repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental guidelines
• Follows all departmental SOPs

• Completes scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery in a timely manner

• Collaborates with production operators to diagnose and correct machine issues as needed

• Diagnoses problems with equipment, and repairs/replaces defective parts

• Assists with efforts to exceed divisional downtime standards and expectations

• Assists the plant with afterhours repairs as needed

• Fabricates as needed

• Able to work overtime as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

• Basic math skills
• Good English language skills
• Welding skills
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Hands on mechanical experience with various types of manufacturing equipment 
• Strong mechanical knowledge (repairing, replacing, installing, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems on various types of manufacturing equipment
• Carpentry skills
• No fear of heights
• Basic manufacturing wiring experience

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk and communicate
• Ability to see and hear
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to stretch and bend
• Frequently climb towers up to 45 feet high
• Regularly required to climb or balance
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel or crouch
• Strong motor skills
• Able to handle potential extreme conditions of heat, cold, wet, humid, and windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degree or greater)
