We are currently looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator (Marketing & Communications Intern) to join our team of committed professionals. This Summer position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Durham & Walden Day Camp locations in Sudbury.
Under the leadership of the Manager, Brand & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Intern is responsible for supporting and coordinating the marketing and communication of the programs and services of their assigned departments and programs according to YMCA policies, procedures, and standards and ensuring participant satisfaction.
This role is supported by funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program and is subject to the program’s eligibility criteria.
START DATE: As soon as possible
CONTRACT DURATION: 8 weeks
LOCATION: Durham Street and Walden, Sudbury ON
RATE OF PAY: $18.96 per hour
HOURS: 35 per week
What You’ll Do
• Promote branding initiatives consistent with the goals and objectives of the YMCA
• Ensure all products/services conform to the YMCA brand identity
• Assist in the implementation of the Association marketing and promotion plan
• Facilitate all social media posts and communication
• Perform website updates and coordinate information
• Support the Association’s fundraising campaigns through committee support
• Act as a Y Way Ambassador to ensure all communications meet the YMCA standards
• Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization
What You’ll Bring
• Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) preferred
• College diploma or University degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations in progress
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C as asset
• No formal experience required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar marketing or communications role considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Bilingualism in both official languages an asset
• Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
