<p>The Digital Identity team at SICPA is at the forefront of shaping a new global digital trust infrastructure. We are innovating in self-sovereign identity technologies and productizing this emerging technology by delivering production projects.</p>
<p>Our team is located in Switzerland and Spain. As a software engineer in our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on shaping the future of digital identity.</p>
<p>We are seeking a Senior backend software engineer to join our team in Madrid and help build the next generation of decentralized identity platforms.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for building backend technology, working with decentralise identity technologies, and navigating the complexities that come with them with strong accent in emerging technologies as SSS (Self-Sovereign Identity)</p>

ROLE</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop state-of-the-art code.</li>
<li>Contribute to open-source software projects.</li>
<li>Design and review software architecture.</li>
<li>Be hands-on and involved in every stage of the product development cycle.</li>
<li>Write highly scalable software.</li>
</ul>
<p><br/>
PROFILE</p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of software engineering experience.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li>
<li>Strong development skills in Python or Kotlin (or Java) (existing codebase is mostly written in Python and Kotlin).</li>
<li>Experience with asynchronous code.</li>
<li>Experience developing APIs with care (e.g. gRPC/REST with OpenAPI/Swagger).</li>
<li>Familiarity with microservice architectures, publish/subscribe event buses such as Apache Kafka, and distributed data stores (relational and otherwise).</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud-native deployment practices, specifically containers and container orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm) and the Kubernetes environment.</li>
<li>Familiar with authentication and authorization techniques (e.g. OpenID Connect).</li>
<li>Comfortable using the tools of the trade: debuggers, source control, profiling, and unit test coverage.</li>
</ul>

NICE TO HAVE</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in self-sovereign identity technology.</li>
<li>Experience in identity technologies such as Oauth2 , OIDC or others.</li>
<li>Proven experience in applications security or applied cryptography.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to open-source software projects.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to open standards and/or open-source communities.</li>
