In this position you’ll help individuals discover & embrace what makes life uniquely meaningful to them while empowering them to contribute to the community. Work in a team setting or small group, helping individuals with intellectual disabilities achieve their life goals in:

  • Personal development
  • Community involvement
  • Exploring interests
  • Living more independently and
  • assisting with daily personal care as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals (3-4 people) out in the community 3-4 times a week
  • Work with individuals to research new class, explore new interests, classes, activities, places to go and people to meet.
  • Take ownership of a weekly class- select a topic of interest to the individuals & pick a day and time to offer it consistently
  • Work with individuals (and other staff) to develop a schedule for classes, activities, and outings
  • Daily documentation- Provide individualized notes and documentation on goals.
  • Monitor individuals for health & safety concerns

Looking for a team player, who enjoys having fun, focus's on the positive and enjoys going out.


Full Time- 8:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday

Part Time- Flexible


Requirements

To be successful, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Prefer 6 months of work experience in human services/with individuals with disabilities. NADSP credential preferred.
  • Be able to learn & effectively use our computer software to accomplish tasks.
  • Provide own transportation, have valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements.
