Senior Application Development Manager

Senior Application Development Manager for Morgan Properties Payroll Services Inc. to work at our Conshohocken, PA HQ loc and may telecommute up to 1 day/week within commutable distance of Conshohocken office.

Lead IT project team, defining scalable & efficient architectures & develop reusable software solutions to meet business needs. Enhance internal development processes, ensure alignment w/ company-wide goals, & drive efficiency in engineering initiatives. Work w/ cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, & efficient applications.

Architecture & development: design & implement high-availability solutions across distributed systems, preparing architecture diagrams & data models; develop & maintain scalable web apps & APIs using modern tech such as React, Node.js, Python, Django, & AWS; Ensure high-quality code w/ unit testing, integration testing, & code reviews; Implement security best practices to protect apps & data; Research & eval emerging tech to enhance system performance & user exp.

Strategic planning & collaboration: Collaborate w/ stakeholders to eval problem areas & define architecture roadmap; Ensure alignment of engineering initiatives w/ company objectives; Analyze & contribute to product strategies, agile software delivery, & operational guidelines; Communicate & drive long-term architectural vision, assessing feasibility, impact, & risks; Continuously seek process improvements & drive innovation in app development.

Software development & Cloud Deployment: Develop robust software solutions using JavaScript, NodeJS, & Object-Oriented programming languages; Design & build microservices & develop complex database queries using SQL Server, Oracle, & cloud databases; Utilize front-end frameworks like Angular, React, CSS, HTML5, & Bootstrap for responsive web apps; Deploy apps on cloud platforms such as Azure & AWS, ensuring scalability & performance.

Lead/manage team of developers, fostering culture of collaboration & continuous learning; Coach & mentor team members through pair programming & hands-on development.

May undergo background checks including reference checks, drug testing/screening, credit checks, motor vehicle record check.

Must have Bachelor’s in Comp Sci, Software Engineering, or related field; 8 years relevant exp in full-stack software development; and required skills.

Required skills (8 years exp) in: designing and architecting high availability solutions across distributed systems; preparing architecture diagrams, data models; developing and maintaining web applications and APIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS; mentoring more junior team members on the development team; Agile development methodology; full software lifecycle;

and (6 years exp) in: participating in the Architecture Governance process; overseeing project work and planning on the enterprise team; performing software development using JavaScript, NodeJS, Object-Oriented programming languages using related libraries by analyzing the requirements to iteratively code, design, develop, test, deploy, and implement customized business applications per the architecture with reusable components and design; development of micro-services, API developing Unit tests, and complex database queries using SQL Server and Oracle; utilizing front-end libraries (Angular, CSS, HTML, and Bootstrap) for front-end development of responsive cross-browser web applications; Building and deploying software solutions on AWS per the architecture design and requirements.

Also requires Certifications: Salesforce Application Architect; AWS Solution Architect; Microsoft Azure Solutions.
