It’s in this spirit that we are actively seeking a Sr Integrations Engineer to join our Workforce Benefits Division team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. Relocation assistance may be provided.
As a Sr Integrations Engineer in our Workforce Benefits Division, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust, scalable integrations between internal systems and third-party quote aggregators. You’ll work within a dynamic ecosystem that includes Salesforce, Master Data Management (MDM), Snowflake, Control-M, and Flowable, enabling seamless data flows and automation across the enrollment lifecycle. Your expertise in API development and enterprise integration will help accelerate Pacific Life’s digital transformation and enhance user experiences across brokers, operations, and underwriting.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- System integration delivery: Build and manage APIs and system integrations using Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, enabling interoperability between third-party platforms and core Pacific Life systems.
- Represent Pacific Life in technical working sessions with quote aggregator vendors and external partners to define and enforce integration standards.
- Act as a principal steward for the Mulesoft platform within WBD Enrollments, defining a reusable framework, templates, and governance practices to ensure scalability, resiliency, and consistency.
- Own the end-to-end integration strategy across the Workforce Benefits division, aligning with enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals.
- Aggregator connectivity: Establish secure, performant integrations with external quote aggregator platforms to streamline quoting and policy intake workflows.
- Platform collaboration: Collaborate with internal platform teams (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflake, Control-M, Flowable) to support real-time and batch integrations, ensuring data consistency and orchestration.
- Technical leadership: Guide integration patterns, support CI/CD practices, and contribute to the broader architecture standards across the integration landscape.
- Governance and security: Ensure all APIs and integrations follow enterprise guidelines on security, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
- Performance tuning: Conduct root-cause analysis and optimize performance for high-volume integrations across policy, billing, and quoting processes.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Dev, QA, architects, and BAs to design and deliver enterprise-grade integrations aligned with business objectives.
The Experience You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience including technical leadership and strategy
- Experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and DataWeave
- Proven experience integrating with Salesforce, MDM, and Snowflake
- Familiarity with Control-M and Flowable for workflow automation and orchestration
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, and related integration standards
- Experience working in Agile development environments and using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience in the workforce benefits or group insurance space
- Experience integrating with EIS Group systems.
- Familiarity with Insurance (Policy, User, Products, Billing, Claims, Enrollments) and quote automation workflows
- Ability to lead integration design discussions and translate abstract architecture into executable development plans
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset
- Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures
