Regional Assistant Group Fitness Director
Columbia Association (CA) is a nonprofit community services organization that manages Columbia, Maryland—home to 100,000 residents and ranked the #1 Happiest City in Maryland(WalletHub) and Best Place to Live(Livability.com, Niche.com). We operate a wide network of top-tier recreational facilities, including three full-service fitness clubs, golf courses, an ice rink, racquet clubs, and pools.
We’re looking for an Regional Assistant Group Fitness Director to help lead our fitness operations and inspire healthier lives through exceptional service, expert guidance, and community engagement.

About the Role:

As the Regional Assistant Group Fitness Director, you will:
• Assist the Regional Group Fitness Director in supporting group fitness classes.
• Supervise and support over 100 group fitness instructors and over 250 classes per week.
• Foster a strong team culture focused on service, development, and accountability.
• Enhance the member experience through safe and engaging fitness experiences.
• Help design and/or implement innovative programs to retain members.
• Collaborate with the broader CA community to promote wellness and build brand trust.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven leadership and organizational skills with a strong customer service mindset.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a certified Group Fitness instructor.
• Current Group Fitness certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive results and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $59,000 to $73,000. The actual salary offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position and the budgeted amount for the role. CA offers a positive, fun work environment and a generous benefits package. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), a free Fit & Play membership, Wellness benefits w/perks and paid leave.
