SALARY: $82,400-$97,850

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Walmart Associate Category Manager will support Total Alcohol Walmart Category team in Bentonville, AR. The ACM’s primary focus will be in supporting Walmart’s Beer strategy by developing and executing best in class MODs (planograms). This role will work closely with the Walmart MOD execution team to make sure the strategy comes to live in store.
This role is a part Anheuser-Busch’s Total Alcohol Advising team and will build relationships with the Walmart teams focused on SWAS project stores. The ACM will lead developing pro-active insights & opportunity identification for SWAS stores. Additionally, this individual will partner with our Insights team on custom research in partnership with the Walmart SWAS team to identify new consumer and shopper trends that will benefit the new store format.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help WMT DMM elevate importance of Beer, Wine, and Spirits within Walmart’s leadership to build the category’s presence in store
Drive Walmart’s store selection criteria, macro space planning, Category & Segment Design & Adjacencies within Total Alcohol
Create and test new in store signage that helps build awareness of the new SWAS and helps consumers navigate while shopping
Develop SWAS reporting to track & measure performance and identify opportunities
Customize COE assortment strategy, category content, price/pack, shopper marketing platform, and brand plans for Walmart
Partner with COE team to scope and conduct shopper research for the Walmart Total Alcohol objectives; interpret shopper & consumer research to drive category-focused solution
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree, emphasis in business or marketing related fields preferred
5+ years experience in Category Management
2+ years experience in MOD/POG development and category analytics
Experience in and fundamental understanding of store design process
Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, demographic data, panel data, etc.) and digital category manager tools (i.e. Numerator)
Prior experience processing large data sets into category dashboards via apps like PowerBI
Demonstrates a strong understanding of JDA and Planogram Software
Understanding of the broader omni channel market outside of Nielsen reported channels
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
Proven ability to think strategically& take insight into action.
Experience collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams and business partners
A deep sense of accountability, ownership and passion
