TikTok Shop Design Manager, Seller Tools

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Leader to lead our design team and drive the development of innovative business products for TikTok Shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business product design, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive design impact. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the design vision and strategy for our seller tooling products, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.



Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with TikTok Shop’s business objectives. Collaborate with product teams, engineer teams, and other stakeholders to define design goals and deliver high quality solutions.

- Oversee the design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring the team's operation efficiency, balancing priorities and resources effectively.

- Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring that user needs and experiences are at the forefront of all design decisions.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure cohesive and integrated product experiences. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.

- Maintain high standards of design quality, consistency, and attention to pixel detail. Review and critique design work, providing constructive feedback to ensure the highest level of design crafting.

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging new technologies, and best practices in product design. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve design processes and methodologies.

- Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements, present design concepts, and gain buy-in for design initiatives. Communicate design vision and progress effectively to senior leadership.
