Ground Software Engineer II

Job Summary: 

ITS, LLC. is seeking a Ground System Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will develop software for innovative satellite ground systems with space network ground segments and users around the world. Your efforts will have a direct impact on the operation of new state of the art satellites that perform intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance for multiple customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.
• Using various technologies and techniques including Multi-Tiered Architectures, Amazon Web Services, Geospatial Visualization Tools, Digital Engineering, and Automation Frameworks that support advanced spacecraft missions.
• Following modern DevSecOps development practices and utilizing Agile frameworks.
• Strong coding ability using Java. Other object-oriented languages are a bonus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of Software Engineering processes and best practices. 

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in object-oriented design
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
• Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, flight dynamics models, or Digital Signal Processing.

 Education/Experience:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience or
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

Salary Note:
