Job Summary:
We are looking for a senior accountant, financial reporting to join our corporate finance team. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, regulatory filings, and internal reports in accordance with GAAP standards. You will also support the external audit process, perform financial analysis, and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and two to five years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate finance. You should also have a CPA certification, or be working towards one. You should have strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance. You should also have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP standards
Prepare and review certain monthly statements, such as the statement of shareholders’ equity and cash flows
Assist in the monthly analysis and reconciliation of certain accounts
Prepare and review regulatory and compliance filings
Support the external audit process, including preparing audit schedules, responding to audit inquiries, and resolving audit issues
Perform financial analysis, such as trend analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other reporting requirements
Research and document accounting policies and technical issues
Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
CPA certification, or working towards one
Two to five years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance, preferably in financial reporting
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
