Customer Request Technician – Decatur, IL

Full time, non-exempt position
The Customer Request Technician is an entry-level position that requires a person who is highly productive and will provide high quality service to customers, both internal and external. This position demands good time management skills, the ability to work in a team environment, customer service skills, data entry, and a variety of jobs, tasks and other duties as assigned. Must have a safe working attitude, be an active participant in safety programs and learn and follow written rules and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of assigned products
- Fill, package, and ship sample requests
- Communicate with requestors status updates on requests and projects
- Maintain the cleanliness of work area
- Work with Research and the business units to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain documents for products
- General housekeeping duties
- Record product codes/lot numbers
- Strong safety aptitude and work ethic
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Ensure compliance to procedures, guidelines, and ADM policies
- Dependable and desire to learn with a positive attitude
- Learn food safety protocols and complete HACCP training
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail oriented
- Must be familiar with English and Metric measurement units
- Ability to operate simple machines (pallet jack, pallet lifter)
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work with databases
- Ability to do repetitive tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Multitasking
- Ability to adapt to a changing working environment

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$35,900.00 - $67,500.00
