We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst of FP&A and Performance Insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively creating and analyzing financial data to add valuable insights to support firm leadership in managing the existing business as well as integrating newly acquired firms. This role requires a desire to “roll up your sleeves”, analyze the business through data and a passion to be curious.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst of FP&A and Performance Insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively creating and analyzing financial data to add valuable insights to support firm leadership in managing the existing business as well as integrating newly acquired firms. This role requires a desire to “roll up your sleeves”, analyze the business through data and a passion to be curious.
Position responsibilities:
- Work on the strategic budget & forecasting process to drive revenue growth and expense reduction for legacy business and multiple M&As.
- Proactively monitor budget to actual performance through real-time dashboards and work with Practice Group Leaders to understand business needs to meet and exceed budget.
- Take the lead on understanding incoming M&A firms to incorporate budget & forecast into firmwide processes.
- Lead Workday Adaptive Planning testing and buildout as needed.
- Identify and streamline manual processes to drive automation and collaboration with offshore staff member(s).
- Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
- Work with the FP&A team and Aprio’s CFO to model key business drivers and provide financial analysis on strategic initiatives.
- Continually challenge the status quo and review processes for efficiencies to enable scalability and automated recurring tasks.
- Assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
- Ad Hoc projects: Work closely with finance department, senior management, and departmental leads to provide meaningful analyses.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency & awareness of financial reporting and dashboards.
- Work closely with IT team to enhance real-time reporting possibilities.
- Help identify profit improvement and/or cost reduction opportunities, including product/service/client margin and cost analysis, along with on-going automation and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of financial planning & analysis experience.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning preferred.
- Preference given to those with experience working with investment banks or private equity firms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the explain analyses to senior leadership and business partners with varying proficiencies in finance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing demands.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Results oriented with a process improvement & growth mindset.
- Strong financial management background and success working with a highly competent and innovative executive team.
