Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented mid-level Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for our operations supporting NAVSEA in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a Hybrid position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify information protection needs for an IS and Cloud Network Environment.
Define IS and Network Environment security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements.
Design security architectures for use within the IS and Cloud Network Environment.
Design and develop cybersecurity-enabled products for use within an IS and Network Environment.
Develop and implement security designs for new or existing network system(s).
Ensure that the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address cybersecurity requirements for the IS and Network Environment.
Design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
Design, develop, and implement specific cybersecurity countermeasures for the IS and Network Environment.
Develop interface specifications for the IS and Network Environment.
Develop approaches to mitigate IS and Cloud Network Environment vulnerabilities and recommend changes to network or network system components as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, IT, or related technical area preferred or extensive years of experience.
3 years related experience with at least 3 years of experience in developing secure solutions, security policy, and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
Hold Security+ Certification and at least one of the following certifications:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) CE, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CISSP- Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), or CISSP- Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) or an equivalent DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III certification.
Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including STIG Viewer, eMASSter, and Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center.
Experience with routinely interfacing with senior level customer technical representatives.
Experience with cloud brokerages, preferably Navy.
Knowledge and experience working with federal compliance and guidance, including FISMA, RMF, Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, DoDAF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP and cloud-based security controls.
Knowledge of technology for implementing security controls, including access control, privileged access management, data security, network security, data loss prevention, Cloud security, vulnerability management, configuration management, privacy, and audits.
Preferred Qualification:
Master’s degree desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Extensive time in stationary position.
Be able to move around the office.
Operate office equipment.
Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients.
Must be able to observe and report.
