Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and experience in designing modular FPGA solutions, and typical system architectures and design patterns for SoC and embedded processing systems design
  • Experience in FPGA development (sound VHDL knowledge, FPGA design flow, simulation, synthesis, mapping, and timing closure) preferably on Xilinx devices
  • Knowledge of most common communication interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe)
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA and SoC, development flow and associated tools
  • Experience with EDA tools (build, code coverage, static timing analysis, source control, etc.)

A strong candidate would ideally bring experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++, including familiarity with BSP/FSBL, QNX, Embedded Linux, or RTOS. A background in PCBA design and the ability to interpret schematics is beneficial, along with hands-on knowledge of motors, electro-mechanics, sensors, and low-level control interfaces. Familiarity with real-time communication protocols, particularly EtherCAT, as well as Verilog/SystemVerilog and verification methodologies like UVM, would be advantageous.
