Role Summary: 

As a Data Engineering Summer Intern, you will play a crucial role in digitizing our manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with our data engineering team to integrate PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) data into reporting tools such as Azure and Power BI. This position is data-oriented, and you’ll have the opportunity to analyze big data to drive informed decision-making. If you’re passionate about data science, pipelines, interfaces, and industrial data, this internship is an excellent fit for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines.
  • Integrate PLC data from manufacturing processes into reporting and visualization tools.
  • Work with Azure and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Assist in developing machine learning models for predictive maintenance and quality improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to IT/OT (Information Technology/Operational Technology) data integration.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following majors: Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
