Summary
The Business Product Management Supervisor supports strategic product development across multiple domains, ensuring alignment with business goals and enterprise priorities. Leads a team of product managers in delivering impactful digital and operational solutions. Communicates product vision and objectives, supports portfolio planning and tracks progress towards measurable objectives (OKRs). Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and end users to develop scalable, customer-focused solutions. Encourages a focus on delivering value through outcomes, not just outputs. Contributes to building a strong product management practice by mentoring team members, promoting innovation and driving consistent execution across the product portfolio.
Minimum Requirements
A four-year Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Analytics or other job-related field from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of experience in business solution development and delivery, including experience leading or coordinating teams. In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or directly related experience in business solution development and delivery equaling seven (7) years.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
- Experience in agile product development, including Scrum practices and backlog management.
- Skills in stakeholder engagement, customer journey mapping and data-informed decision making.
- Effective communicator with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering business value.
- Experience in product lifecycle management, change management, training and enterprise implementation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with digital technologies such as automation, mobile platforms and data visualization.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations relevant to business operations.
Major Accountabilities
1) Supports product strategy and execution across multiple product teams and domains. Helps define product vision, scope and desired outcomes. Coordinates with product managers to ensure alignment with enterprise goals and consistent delivery. Communicates product vision and roadmap to stakeholders.
2) Applies design thinking and customer feedback to shape products that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Owns product lifecycle from ideation through launch. Applies agile methodologies and iterative development.
3) Oversees market research and benchmarking efforts, ensuring customer insights and industry best practices inform product decisions and delivery. Ensures product requirements are clearly defined and aligned, managing the full product lifecycle to meet goals and user expectations.
4) Builds relationships with internal stakeholders to support decision-making, resolve issues and promote collaboration across teams.
5) Defines and tracks OKRs to measure product success, including adoption, cost recovery and customer satisfaction. Supports change management and training efforts to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of solutions.
6) Oversees the staffing, training, salary administration and performance management for a team of Product Managers. Provides coaching, feedback and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.
7) Oversees department operating budget, approves expenses, explains budget variances and recommends cost reductions aligned with workforce planning.
