Job Title: SR. Electrical Service Tech

Location: Dallas, TX 

Job Summary:

The Commercial Sr. Electrical Service Tech is responsible for leading all aspects of the electrical service department, including personnel management, project oversight, client relations, and operational efficiency. This role ensures that all commercial service projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while driving departmental growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of commercial electricians and service technicians.

  • Review and maintain all daily project reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Oversee all commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work.

  • Ensure adherence to NEC, local codes, and company safety standards.

  • Investigate and resolve client issues, ensuring prompt and professional communication.

  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss goals, project updates, and performance.

  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and company leadership to ensure smooth operations across departments.

  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and performance standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and revenue.

  • Manage scheduling, workforce assignments, and service response priorities.

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, cost control measures, and resource allocation.

  • Maintain and track inventory of tools, equipment, and materials to support ongoing projects.

  • Support estimating and project planning efforts for service and small project work.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction or service; at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate field and office personnel.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with service management software and project reporting tools.

  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and client relations.

  • Knowledge of Service Titan is a bonus.
