The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is expanding! We are seeking a Childcare Program Manager to manage and train on the implementation of curriculum and developmentally-appropriate practices. Pay range: $18-$21/hour
, based on experience, education and credentials.


Daycare Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Train teachers on curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, and quality-rating practices.
  • Ensure classroom lesson plans are completed and implemented.
  • Assist with the hiring and on-boarding of new teachers.
  • Work collaboratively with Center Director to provide feedback, assess needs, and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure adequate classroom materials.
  • Develop and track teacher professional development plans.
  • Complete classroom observations and growth plans, as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate semi-annual parent/teacher conferences.
  • Ensure all regulatory and company policies are observed in classrooms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Creative Curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, Environmental Rating Scale, and developmental milestones as defined by the state’s early learning goals required.
  • Successful track record of training with an ability to help develop teaching staff and evaluate teacher classroom performance.
  • Meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, and maintain state in-service requirements.
  • Must have NC qualifying letter.
