Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy IV Technician at Sentara Leigh Hospital!

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates!

Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk)

Hours: Evening 12:30pm-9pm

Weekend: Every other weekend rotation

Holiday Rotation

Required qualifications:

 

  •  
  • Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021
  • 1 year Pharmacy Tech experience required
  • Minimum 3 months of IV room experience required

Preferred qualifications:

  • CSPT (Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician)

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist
  • Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy
  • Performs all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II positions.
